Darwen Town Centre Tree Removal

Our team was called into Darwen town centre to remove a mature tree whose root system was damaging the cellar walls of the adjoining market building. With the tree standing in a busy, fully cobbled pedestrian square surrounded by shopfronts, careful planning was needed to remove it without disruption to the public or damage to the surrounding buildings.

We brought in a truck-mounted grab crane to sectionally dismantle the crown and stem from above, lowering each section directly onto a waiting trailer rather than dropping material to the ground. A tractor and grapple loaded and moved the felled timber, while a mini excavator and chipper truck cleared the site and processed brash, all within a signed and cordoned working area to keep pedestrians safely away from the operation.
