Supporting greener development
We're an Environment Agency registered waste carrier, providing documentation to demonstrate waste recycling. We maintain the required accreditations and support projects with RAMS, insurance, and environmental policies.
We reduce carbon through battery-powered tools, low-emission machinery fuel, and careful route-planning. Ecological walkovers prevent delays from protected species issues, while our social value work includes local employment, apprenticeships, woodchip donations to schools, and local supplier partnerships.
At NorthernArb Tree Services, we are committed to caring for trees and the environment responsibly. We prioritise tree preservation wherever possible, recycle green waste, and continually seek ways to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. By combining professional arboriculture with sustainable working practices, we aim to protect and enhance the landscapes we work in for future generations.

How it works
Our process
01
Assess & protect
Ecological walkovers check for Tree Preservation Orders, nesting birds and protected species before any work begins.
02
Work responsibly
Battery-powered tools, low-emission machinery fuel, and careful route-planning keep every job as low-impact as possible.
03
Recycle everything
Branches become woodchip and mulch, timber becomes logs and firewood — customers can keep what they want.
04
Document & comply
Full duty-of-care paperwork, RAMS, insurance and environmental policies for every project.
Our commitments
Our environmental values
Trees First
Where a tree can be made safe through pruning or crown reduction, we recommend that over felling — and we encourage replanting whenever a tree does come down.
Wildlife Protected
Every hedge and tree is checked for nesting birds, bats and protected species before work begins, in line with the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
Nothing Wasted
Branches become woodchip and mulch, timber becomes logs and firewood. The vast majority of everything we cut is recycled, reused or returned to the soil.
Licensed & Compliant
We are an Environment Agency registered waste carrier, providing full duty-of-care waste documentation, RAMS and environmental policies for every commercial contract.
Cutting Carbon
Battery-powered tools where viable, low-emission fuel in our machinery, and route-planned jobs that cut unnecessary mileage across the North West.
Local Social Value
We employ locally, fund NPTC apprenticeships for young people in the North West, donate woodchip to community gardens and spend with local suppliers.
